Atlanta - March 6, 2008 - Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of Atlanta Latino Newspaper, Judith Martinez Sadri, received an award at the First Annual Atlanta Women's Expo Awards Luncheon presented by General Motors and Skirt! Magazine this past Saturday, March 1st at the Gwinnett Civic Center. Two other women were also honored along with Mrs. Martinez-Sadri at the awards ceremony. Jovita Moore, Channel 2 Action News anchor, and April Fawcett Nagel, CEO of firstPRO Staffing Inc., also received accolades at Saturday's luncheon.

Araba O. Dowell, co-organizer of the event and SE Region Communications Manager for GM stated, "These women are the 'movers and shakers' of the community. They are highly respected leaders and are a model of excellence." Ms. Dowell added, "Fifty years down the road, the Atlanta Women's Expo may have named more winners, but these three ladies will always be remembered as being the first women honored."

The ATL Women's Expo is a two-day event marking 2008 as its second year of existence. More than 2,500 women from all over metro-Atlanta came to the expo to learn, become inspired, and to have a good time. "This event offers an excellent opportunity to come together as a group and focus on the issues and products important to women today." said Rose Sipin, ATL Women's Expo Founder & Promoter. "These ladies who were honored exemplify the spirit and value for which all women strive." Over 180 vendors set up exhibitor booths at the Gwinnett Civic Center, catering to the needs of women in general. The attendees who came to this one-of-a-kind event received advice, information and product demonstrations for the purpose of enhancing and improving the lives of Georgia women.

Interested women who feel they are part of a company that benefits the women of Atlanta or have ideas for the women of the community and would like to join the Atlanta Women's club can visit their website at www.atl.womensexpo.com.
