-Advertisers flocking to this exploding market
Atlanta, GA - Georgia's largest bilingual publication,
Atlanta Latino Newspaper, will launch metro Atlanta's
only Spanish-language alternative publication
entitled Más on Sunday, October 1, 2006.
Más is a free, pick-up biweekly publication
that will cover topics on local Hispanic nightlife
& nightclub events, celebrity gossip, and
sexual health & wellbeing. Más will
tap into the city's ever-expanding, young Hispanic
population, ages 21 - 45.
"Our readers were looking for a saucy magazine
to cover the true local Latino nightlife, celebrity
lifestyles and Latin American happenings,"
said Judith Martinez-Sadri, Editor-in-Chief of
Atlanta Latino Newspaper and Más. She added:
"Más will satiate the cravings of
so many metro Atlanta Latinos looking for a lighthearted
publication that is fun to read and tells them
where to go to have a good time."
US Census data figures reveal that the number
of working-age, immigrant Latinos is expected
to reach 13 million by the year 2025, an increase
of 4 million people. For the native-born Latinos
the population is expected to reach 24 million,
an increase of 14 million.
According to the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute,
the figures reveal phenomenal growth in buying
power for Latinos in the state of Georgia as it
was $11 billion in 2002 but is projected to jump
to over $25 billion in 2007.
